Girls Only Year 5 & 6 Rippa Rugby
A HUGE kia ora and well done to all our schools who participated in our Girls-Only Rippa for primaries today at Petone Rec--34 teams from 17 schools in years 5/6 and 7/8 ripped, ran, scored tries, bounced on the NZ Rugby bouncy castle, ate a sausage at lunch and had HEAPS of fun in the sun!
Winners of the Kat Simpkins Athlete pool 1 were the CORINNA KOALAS; taking out the Jax Patea playoffs on field 2 were the TAIRANGI RAMPAGE.
Sanita Levave winners on field 3 were the CASHMERE AVE COWGIRLS, and on 4 in the Lizzie Goulden pool the victors were the JVILLE JELLYBEANS!
On the 7/8 side of things, Aimee Sutorius Pool 5 went to the TAIRANGI TUIS and in the Aggie Dean playoffs the ADVENTURE ANGELS ended up on top.
On fields 7 and 8, in the Georgia Daals pool CORINNA COYOTES took the top spot (and Corinna also took top spot in lost and found items retrieved during presentations), and the POSTGATE PANTHERS tidied up on field 8 in the Carol Sio draw!
Big thanks to all of you who organised vans, rides, parent and whanau support, sorted the kids, filled water bottles and turned them loose on the field.
I have put a few video clips up on our Wellington Whirlwind Girls’ Rugby facebook page, and yes--- St. Bridget’s cheer routine has been shared on the OFFICIAL WRFU facebook page as well—famous!!!! (www.facebook.com/wellingtonrugby, and www.facebook.com/wellingtonwhirlwind)
I am going to sleep well tonight.

Year 5 & 6 Rippa Rugby
Ian Galloway Park, Wilton was the venue for the Year 5 & 6 Rippa Tournament held on Tuesday the 24th of March. Our mixed team of boys and girls played hard and fast winning their pool. Congratulations!!!!
Year 3 & 4 Rippa Rugby
On Tuesday the 3rd of March, forty-two Year 3 and 4 students set off by coach to the Petone Rec Ground. Rippa Rugby Tournament here we come!
We entered three teams into the tournament, part of the 850 students who competed that very hot summer day. Lots of ripping, fair play, laughter and fun was had. From the beginnings of training at school to the end of the tournament our game improved remarkably!
Well done Johnsonville Jugglers, Jaguars and Jesters!
