Swimming Carnvival 2015
Keith Spry Pool was the venue for our school carnival.  From 9.30am - 12.30pm all Year 3 - 6 students had the chance to participate in races (and have a quick free swim at the end).  Many Thanks to Todd at Easyswim for supporting this event and helping out with organisation and running of the day.
This year there is no Northern Zone Swim event due to Kilbirnie Pool being upgraded.  Next year will be racing for spots in the Johnsonville Swim team!
Congratulations to all swimmers.

Swimmers from Tieke Whanau House who helped their house win the Swim Cup!

Cross Country 2015
Congratulations to all our runners.  It was great too see everyone putting in a top effort.  The cheering and encouragement from the sideline was wonderful - Johnsonville School students you are amazing!

Athletics Day 2015

Our School Athletics Day was held on Tuesday the 24th of March.
Years 1 and 2 spent the morning moving around athletic type activities in Whanau house groups.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 spent until 2pm competing in athletic events such as quoits, vortex, sprints and long jump.  Later in the year they will have the opportunity to trial high jump to represent the school at the Northern Zone event.  When not competing they participated in other movement activities such as sack races, swing ball and bouncy castle fun!
Thank you to Tony from Little Dribblers who painted our sprints track, Rick from Wellingon Rugby for the Bouncy Castle , parents who helped on the day and the many families and friends who supported all students especially in the sprint races at 2pm.
