Year 5/6 Girls Football

Wednesday 16th September saw nine Year 5/6 girls head to the ASB Centre for a girls football tournament organised by Capital Football.  Coached by Murray, Father of Tayla and supported by all families the girls showed dedication by having two early morning practices prior to the tournament.

All of the girls played exceedingly well considering their varied experience in football.  They tried really hard to implement the basic game plan we had.  A couple of the girls were quite nervous to play at the start but by the end of the day were getting stuck in and giving it their all.

They were a pleasure to manage and coach.

Well done girls!

What did you enjoy about the day?

"I got lots of autographs from the players and watched them practice.  It was fun when we went through tunnels we all tried to hold our breath". RW
